LISA CARRINGTON

Lisa Carrington has become New Zealands gratest ever Olympian. After winning there gold medals in totel she has one six medals takes her past the five won fellow kayakers Ina Ferguson and Paul MacDonald, and equestrian star Sir Mark Todd. How ever this is about lisa carrington and what she dose and some facts about Lisa. 
Age: Lisa is 32 years of age.
 Lisa is a Athlete she began paddling in 2006 
Reason for taking up the sport: After following her brothers into competitive surf life saving, she took up kayaking to improve her skills on the surf ski. 

She became the first New Zealand female sprint paddler to win a gold medal at the world championships when she claimed victory in the K1 200m at the 2011 edition in Szeged, Hungary. She set a national record for both genders when she won her fourth world championships gold medal in the K1 200m at the 2015 World Championships in Milan, Italy.

What i do after school 🐴

 

When I go to Mum's I go and ride on the Horses at the ridding school. I have my own Horse there and her name is Annie. And how I get the Horse riding lessons is I do work to help tidy up the barn and clean up the hay shed and clean the tack and put the ropes in order so they know what one is short or long. Every day After i get back from school i go and get reddy for ether horse ridding or celaning the farm up then Mum drops me of at the ridding school and i have 1-2 hours of that then Mum comes back to pic me up. then we  go back home. Chilli tasting 


The chemical in a chilli is capsi noid 


Equipment:

  1. Milk

  2. Water

  3. Coca Cola

  4. Tasting cup

  5. Chilli.

      Method:

  1. You will work in groups of three for this experiment.

  2. Each person in the group will use one of the drinks with the chilli.

  3. You will then swap results in your group so that everyone has the same

  4. results.

  5. Each member of the group needs to have their own tasting cup.

  6. This will be used for putting the different liquids in as we cool off the chilli

  7. in our

  8. mouths.

  9. Place a piece of chilli in your mouth.

  10. After 10 seconds you will drink the liquid that you have in your cup.

  11. As you do this you will complete a results chart.

You will be recording the following using Yes or No

  • The effectiveness of the liquid immediately.

  • The effectiveness of the liquid after 10 seconds

Yeast

What is yeast it is a are fungi yeast has been her for thousands of years. It is all aorundus. There are man made yeast and Natural yeast. There are over 1000 kinds of yeast it macks food tast good. Ther is carbodeoxid. It is uesd in some cheses. And you can harvest yeast your self. 

Equiptement: Spoons,Kettle,Bowl,Beaker,Cloth sieve,Funel,Plastic bottle,

Materials: 50ml warm water, 1/2 tsp active dride yeast, 1/2 tsp suger, 1/2 tsp ground ginger 
3/4 cup suger, 1/2 tsp cream of tarta, 1L cold water, Jucie 1/2 lemon, 1 tsp ginger beer bug.

Methord:
1. in a large bowl. put the suger and the cream of tata. then add the warm water.
2. stir to disolved the suger befor adding the cold water.
3. add the ginger beer bug to the large bowl of cold water.
4. stir well and then put into your clean bottle.
5. lable your bottle with your grup name.
6. place all the bottles in the class contaner.
7. store in a cool, dark place for one week befor drinking.
8. mack suer you open the bottle in the kithen sink as it might overflow. open the cap bit by bit to allow the ari to escape.
